Billy apprached Designer Portraits for assistance with creating a modelling portfolio that would allow him to pursue his commercial modelling aspirations. The shoot focussed on creating commercially stylised images.

The resulting shots (below) were created in-studio using a number of lighting setups and post processing techniques. Lighting consisted mostly of side lighting using softboxes, reflectors and gobos to create dramatic, stylised yet commercial looking images.

The above two images were shot against a grey background and consisted of two large 1.2m x1.2m softboxes positioned either side of the model almost in a straight line (but slightly behind the model. Highlighting of the models hair was achieved using a third monobloc with barndoors fitted at high level and pointing to the models hairline.

The below two images were shot with the same lighting setup but slightly more behind the model (almost 45 degrees either way). This setup provided some flair lighting to the shot. Additional flair lighting effects were added as part of post processing.

In Nov of this year, i had the priviledge of shooting young Mango Freeman in my studio for good friends Manus and Claire.  Here are some images from the session.

Id like to share with you some of the contemporary newborn images we created with Campbell Ting (Michael and Alexandra Tings newest family addition). 

Campbell unlike his older brother Logan, proved to be very camera shy (wanting to look away or ignore the camera for the entire shoot), but we managed to capture some beautiful keepsake memories.  Here are the results.

To kick off my new batch of blog updates over the next week or so here are a couple of highly contagious laughing shots from a portrait session with Logan Ting in October 2009.

Were happy to announce the migration was successful and has now been completed.  The new platform will provide faster loading webpages, enable more traffic which translates to better usability.

Over the last year, we received plenty of feedback about our website and online print ordering system. The new site now provides streamlined previewing of proof images via an inline proof gallery section. Clients and those who you share your proof gallery password with are now able to enter a password into our dedicated client window and access all proof images in a simplified / user friendly and multimedia rich environment.

Our proof galleries are fully featured and allow clients to review, order and purchase images for print directly via credit card / merchant accounts and or order with payment made at a later date. Proof galleries are also provided with suitable background music / slideshow too

The new site provides a much needed update to provide our clients / viewers with a entertaining multimedia rich experience. The following images are from one of my September 2009 model update folio shoots. The shoot was to create glamour photography images for Shari’s model portfolio. The images were taken by Melbourne Photographer Nabil Abdulbaki of Designer Portraits Photography and were shot onlocation.

Here are some photos from a fitness theme photoshoot with fitness instrutor Ewelina. Ewelina works at fitness first as a fitness instructuor and approached Designer Portraits (melbourne fitness photographer) to create some high end fitness styled images.
