Congratulations to Michelle and Achi on their recent engagement. I was honoured to provide engagement party photography coverage for Michelle and Archi last Saturday.

The engagement party was held at beautiful Circa The Prince (St Kilda). Here are a sample of some of the shots from the night.

Recent portfolio shoot images with swedish model Petra Johansson. For this model photoshoot, 4 dedicated looks were created.

3 unique looks were created during this session. These included look 1 – a glamor / sexy fashion look and feel, look 2 & 3 – lots of fun with candy and look 4 – artistic glamour.

I call the following effect fashioned passion, which is a a high key cross process effect which has been applied to the images created.

More of the same good stuff, and a true black and white shot with dramatic lighting.

Onlocation family portrait session with the Thabet family.

The portrait session started off with my focus on the kids. The day was a lovely sunny day and the natural coverage provided by park trees and vegetation provided the perfect lighting aid and backdrop.

Candid images during our photoshoot of family youngest Yasmeen, were nothing short of breathtaking.

While the next few images dont tell the full story, in between all of Hady and Yasmeens antics (including “lets pretend dads a jumping castle”), i managed to squeeze in a few more natural shots with dad.

And of course, a family portrait session isnt a family portrait session without a family portrait or two

Oh the photography session is over ??? I was just getting warmed up !
Yes, as you can see this photography session was lots of fun and together some fabulous timeless keepsake images were created of the Thabet family.

Joy in its purest form ! Here are some images from a photoshoot with beautifl 7month old Chloe. With the help of mum Chloe was able to bring out some fantastic smiles for us all to admire.

Here are some portrait images from an onlocation portrait session with the Scarpa family. These images were taken in and around the Yarra Valley.

Stylised colour photos which always look great in a coffee book or on the wall. While an acquired taste, they are quite striking and very captivating.

Mr Photographer, would you like a daffodil? I picked it myself. I just love candid photography.

Here are some photography highlights of candid portraits taken of 5month old Chloe.

In these images, Chloe is seen wearing outfits by Disney, dressed by Mum, makeup by nature.
Special thanks to Chanelle (older sister who) who let Chloe steal the lime light for 2 min .

Oh and i forgot to mention. Posing inspiration – “The God Father”.

Billy apprached Designer Portraits for assistance with creating a modelling portfolio that would allow him to pursue his commercial modelling aspirations. The shoot focussed on creating commercially stylised images.

The resulting shots (below) were created in-studio using a number of lighting setups and post processing techniques. Lighting consisted mostly of side lighting using softboxes, reflectors and gobos to create dramatic, stylised yet commercial looking images.

The above two images were shot against a grey background and consisted of two large 1.2m x1.2m softboxes positioned either side of the model almost in a straight line (but slightly behind the model. Highlighting of the models hair was achieved using a third monobloc with barndoors fitted at high level and pointing to the models hairline.

The below two images were shot with the same lighting setup but slightly more behind the model (almost 45 degrees either way). This setup provided some flair lighting to the shot. Additional flair lighting effects were added as part of post processing.

In Nov of this year, i had the priviledge of shooting young Mango Freeman in my studio for good friends Manus and Claire.  Here are some images from the session.

Id like to share with you some of the contemporary newborn images we created with Campbell Ting (Michael and Alexandra Tings newest family addition). 

Campbell unlike his older brother Logan, proved to be very camera shy (wanting to look away or ignore the camera for the entire shoot), but we managed to capture some beautiful keepsake memories.  Here are the results.
